339th FG reunion 2018

Over the years, former pilots, their families, and friends have come to see the museum. Dave and Mark's decision to attend the 339th FG Association reunion in 2016 was the catalyst to get the museum off the ground in 2017 and laid the framework for close cooperation with the association. Many of the artifacts, memorabilia, and photos have been contributed by the veterans and their families.

School Tours and Days Out

Dave and Mark's initial idea of housing the results of their "digging up history" was to create interest in the local communities and inform young persons about their local history. School tours can be arranged and are most welcome. The displays in this gem of a museum tell over 100 years of history of the airfield and the people associated with it.

Memorial Dedications

"Lest we forget" is not just a saying at the Fowlmere Airfield Museum. Beginning first in 1986 with a dedication of the 339th FG memorial, to the addition of the RFC and RAF monument, to the recent laying of the 339th FG stone plaque in front of museum Nissan hut, this is truly a place of remembrance to all the people who lived, fought, and paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
